John Trewhella named Bowls WA Academy Coach
Bowls WA is proud to announce John Trewhella as the new Bowls WA Academy Coach.
John brings with him a mountain of experience, having played Metropolitan Premier League Pennant for many years and now applying his trade at the Pinjarra Bowling Club in the Murray Districts League.
John has also played bowls at the state level, having previously been a member of the Over 60’s Western Australian Men’s State Team.
A few years ago, John decided it was time to give something back to the sport he and his super talented sons had enjoyed for so long. Helping people has always been a part of John’s working life, so coaching was an obvious place to start.
John’s passion for seeing players reach their potential was just one of the impressive attributes John displayed when sitting down with Bowls WA Officials to discuss the position, making him exactly what the Bowls WA Academy was looking for.
One of John’s most recent obvious successes was on display at the Under-18 State Championships with a couple of young men that he has been involved with, showing plenty of improvement from the previous year.
Bowls WA wishes John all the success and support required to nurture and develop our future State Team members.
