Yunderup goes Inclusive!
Yunderup Sport & Recreation Club is opening their greens to bowlers with a disability – deaf, intellectual, physical, and vision – for a brand new Pairs Event.
On Saturday the 19th of September Yunderup will be brimming with players of all classifications playing both together, and against each other, in a mixed bag of pairs games.
This one-day event with good prize money to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place plus round prizes, is open to ALL classified and classifiable players in the categories of Deaf, Intellectual, Physical and Vision Impaired.
Lunch Rolls and morning/afternoon tea are included in the entry fee of $25 pp, arrival is 9am for a 9:30 start, and the format of play is three different format Pairs games:
- 3 Bowl Pairs
- 2 x 4 x 2 Pairs
- 2 Bowl Pairs
You do not have to be a part of a team to register – simply register as a single player and you will be matched up with another single entry – this means there could be some mixed teams playing together and not only as opposition as you do not have to stick to your classifications as a team!!!
Yunderup Sport & Recreation Club are running this inaugural event hoping to make it an annual event, so please sign up – that is the only way to keep events running from year to year! Feel free to share this information with anyone you know who may have a disability and is a regular on the bowling greens!
