Clubs to receive State Event Hosting Fee
At the Metropolitan Club Forum held in May, club delegates in attendance discussed the increasing problem of a lack of green space being made available for state events.
This became a critical issue last season, with a number of events close to cancellation.
As a result, the clubs requested the introduction of a Hosting Fee to be charged to players as an “incentive” to make greens available.
After careful consideration, the Board has agreed to trial, for 2026/2027 State Events, a Club Hosting Fee of $10.00 per player to be added to the current entry fee.
With ALL HOSTING FEES raised to be passed onto clubs, clubs will now receive $200.00 per green made available (irrespective of rink numbers) for both Sectional and Post Sectional days.
This will commence with the State Over 60s Pairs and Triples in late September.
Note: This fee will not apply to Country Week events.
