Bowls Australia is pleased to announce BLK as its official apparel partner for the next three years.

The new partnership will see internationally renowned sportswear manufacturer BLK – #beyondlimitsknown – provide state-of-the-art apparel for personnel at all levels of Bowls in Australia, including Bowls Australia’s high performance squads and staff members, while clubs across the nation will be able to enjoy a new range of club team wear.

Bowls Australia have worked closely with BLK’s design team to develop a new look green and gold kit for bowlers representing the nation at international competition, be it Australian Jackaroos or NTC squad members, while others will get the chance to don some of the supplier’s new attire during Fox Sports broadcast or live streamed national events.

Uniforms from the new official apparel partner will make their small-screen debut on finalists at next month’s Australian Indoor Championships, which will be live streamed on bowlsaustralia.com.au.

While the new green and gold range will elevate the prestige of national representation, bowlers from all corners of the country will benefit from the partnership with an innovative new range of club wear set to be available in the coming weeks.

Bowls Australia General Manager Commercial Operations Melanie Rutley said that the sport is excited about partnering with the acclaimed provider under a long-term deal, which will include the 2016 World Bowls Championships among a litany of other national and international competitions.

“Bowls Australia is thrilled to partner with BLK to provide the next generation of apparel for the sport’s top high performance teams like the Australian Jackaroos and finalists of marquee tournaments, but also to extend BLK’s specifically developed bowls suite of apparel to club-land,” Rutley said.

“BLK supplies performance apparel to over 5,000 teams through partnerships with six AFL clubs, as well as A League and Rugby League teams, and have established themselves as the leading apparel provider in Australia.

“Through the partnership, BLK will be recognised as an official Bowls Australia licensed manufacturer and I encourage clubs to utilise their expertise and vision demonstrated across a myriad of elite sporting codes to enhance their standards of team wear.”

BLK Chief Marketing Officer Jason Sintome saying the BLK design teams drew on decades of high performance apparel experience and learnings from multiple elite sports to ensure Bowls Australia is supplied with a superior product.

“As a brand we feel the timing is perfect to be entering into a long term apparel partnership with the team at Bowls Australia,” Sintome said.

“There are some incredibly exciting, fresh faced young bowlers currently pushing some of their more experienced counterparts for places in the various Australian representative teams and there is certainly a willingness from our national teams to push the boundaries.

“As one of the highest participation sports in the country, the team at BLK look forward to providing bowlers of all ages with ranges of high quality, comfortable bowls attire.”

Bowls Australia would like to thank and acknowledge the support received from Aspect Sportswear for their nine years of assistance as the previous apparel partner.
