Bowls in Western Australia has a deep history and rich tradition tracing back to the late eighteenth century. Whilst the association was form in 1897 the first state championship was the Men’s Singles which commenced in 1902. Ever since that date both Men and in the mid 1930’s Women have played championships across many disciplines. Today Championships are played in Singles, Pairs and Triples at Open, Under 18 and Over 60’s level whilst Fours is also played at Open level.
