Men’s Midweek Pennants commenced in the early 1930’s and in its formative years was just a minor sideline to the much more popular Saturday Pennant competition. The post war boom saw the number of clubs triple within Western Australia and with it the midweek competition expanded. Although played with one less rink the Midweek Competition still remains as popular as ever especially amongst retired bowlers.
