Coach Reaccreditation

There are now two methods to apply for Coach Reaccreditation depending on whether your existing Coach Accreditation is (1) within one year of its expiry or (2) over one  year past expiry.

(1) Reaccredit WITHIN one year of Coach Expiration Date

Reaccreditation within one year of your last Coach Expiry date has now been simplified to six easy steps with NO NEED TO RE-TAKE A COACHING COURSE:

1Download and fill in the Application for Bowls Australia Coach Reaccreditation form
2Take your log of coaching hours to your club president or secretary for sighting (note: previous requirement of 200+ hours has now been removed, we now require evidence of regular practical coaching being demonstrated and verified by your club)
3Have your club President or Secretary fill in the Current and Competent Letter Proforma (this is a word document, right click and choose ‘Save link as …’ to open on a computer to complete)
4If required, Acquire or re-new your Working With Children Check (WWC) and provide a copy to Bowls WA – required for legal reasons (workingwithchildren.wa.gov.au).  You will be applying as a volunteer under section 12: A Club/Association/Movement. Forms are available from Australia Post, once completed and paid for, your receipt acts as an interim approval until you receive your card in the mail.  Click here for Bowls WA WWC Process Information.

6Send in your completed Reaccreditation Application form and send to the office (email: enquiries@bowlswa.com.au; mail: PO Box 123, Osborne Park, WA 6917) along with:
1.  COMPLETED “CURRENT AND COMPETENT LETTER” FROM YOUR CLUB
2.  COPY OF CURRENT WWC
3.  PAYMENT OF $20
Bowls WA will then finalise your Club Coach application and send to Bowls Australia for final processing and card renewal.
Bowls Australia will mail the office your new Club Coach card and we will then forward it to your home mailing address.  (PLEASE NOTE: This process can take from 6 to 8 weeks from the time of completing the Club Coach course to receiving your card in the mail)

(2) Reaccredit AFTER one year of Coach Expiration Date

Reaccreditation after one year of your last Coach Expiry date means that you will need to re-take your Club Coach training at the discretion of the Coach Committee.

2Download and fill in the Application for Bowls Australia Club Coach Registration form, ensuring you put in the venue and date of which Club Coach Course you wish to participate in, and send to the office (email: enquiries@bowlswa.com.au; mail: PO Box 123, Osborne Park, WA 6917) including the $130 course payment.
3Bowls WA will process your payment and send you the Club Coach Manual and a set of Questions. You will be required to complete the questions and take them with you to the course.
4Prior to commencing the Club Coach course, if applicable, you should apply for, or re-new, your Working With Children card (WWC) – this card is required for legal reasons (workingwithchildren.wa.gov.au).  You will be applying for Category 12: A Club/Association/Movement as a volunteer.  Forms are available from Australia Post, once completed and paid for your receipt acts as an interim approval until you receive your card in the mail. Click here for Bowls WA WWC Process Information.
5Once you receive your WWC card in the mail you will need to provide a copy to Bowls WA (a picture of the front of the card can be emailed or added to a mobile message) who will then finalize your Club Coach application and send to Bowls Australia for final processing.
6Bowls Australia will mail the office your new Club Coach card which will then be sent to your club for presentation.
