Nominations close Thursday 1 October The Department of Local Government and Communities has expanded the WA Volunteer 50 Years of Service Badge program to acknowledge even more West Australian volunteers.
The new WA Volunteer Service Awards program recognises volunteers who have provided 25 years or more of service to one organisation, in addition to acknowledging volunteers with 50 or more years of service to one organisation.
Nominees receive a commemorative badge as a token of appreciation.
Nominations for the award badge are ongoing and can be submitted at any time throughout the year. Official presentations are held every year in December to coincide with Thank a Volunteer Day.
To be eligible for the official 2015 presentation of badges, nominations must be submitted to the Department of Local Government and Communities by 12pm Thursday 1 October 2015.
