Bowls Connect Upgrades
Competition Portal Enhancements Several upgrades have been made to the Competition Portal part of the Bowls Connect IT System. These developments will improve the processes involved with inputting scores and teams plus make the system more user friendly.
Key features of the developments are as follows:
1. Enhanced skip matching: Officials entering results into the system now have the ability to see opposition teams and therefore make sure skip matching occurs. This will eventually remove the need for phone calls on Saturday evening – clubs will be advised when this occurs. It will also reduce the requirements for AWAY team managers. 2. Improved Match Report: the match report now produces a PDF document in a format identical to how the results are displayed in the portal. For example click link Doubleview v Manning Premier League Round 7
3. Keyword Search for Athlete/team: This gives users the ability to search a specific players or team name. This will then show which competitions that player is involved in. Example below
Bowls WA will continue to work with Bowls Australia and our technology partners STG to make improvements to the Bowls Connect System based on feedback received from our members.
