How can Volunteering WA help your club?
Volunteering WA is the peak body for volunteering in Western Australia. Our focus is on the promotion and development of volunteering. By working with a wide variety of agencies across the state we provide a range of specialist services to support organisations that rely on volunteers. Volunteering WA also represents the needs of its nearly 700 member volunteer involving organisations at local, state and national levels.
Here at Volunteering WA, we make a difference by connecting volunteers with volunteer involving organisations. We aim to build strong, connected communities through volunteering. We also work to ensure that people in Western Australia are aware of, and understand, the nature and scope of volunteer activity.
Volunteers in Sport
In collaboration with the Department of Sports and Recreation, Volunteering WA created the Volunteers in Sport project. It is through the Volunteers in Sport project that we can provide you and your club or organisation with free assistance with all aspects of volunteer management, including recruiting, retaining, rewarding and managing your volunteers.
To help grow the number of volunteers in our communities, Volunteering WA is working with universities and the corporate sector to create a new pool of volunteers for sport and recreation organisations and clubs to recruit from. Combined with our current online volunteer platform for the general public, we have a large network of volunteers that you can tap in to.
Volunteers can help with…
Governance and Accounting • Officiating • IT and Websites • Coaching • Instructing • Leading Groups • Events and Tournaments • Administration • Developing Policies • Grant Applications • Marketing
There are also many more ways that volunteers can help.
