Touch of Style a success

A very successful Touch of Style was held recently at the Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club.

Sponsored by John Hughes the event included 96 of the state’s top female metropolitan and country bowlers.

The Perpetual Trophy was presented to the winners by Victoria Park Carlisle Club President Meryl Bolton. She mentioned that the event was the only one of its kind in Australia, as country and city players were placed together and this created a great spirit of friendship and camaraderie.

Tournament Director Carol Lee announced all placegetters and prizes were presented to the winners by Meryl Bolton.

The event was won by Lyn Egerton Green (Harvey), Barbara Lorencs (Sorrento), Lyn Joyce (Denison) and Yaeko Fleetwood (Rossmoyne).
Second place went to Vicki Spragg (Dudley Park), Noeleen Keeffe (Gingin), Jan Cook (Sorrento) and Lorrinia Bright (Eaton).
Third was Dion Delamotte (Denison), Margaret Sitko (Bedford), Bev Broom (Kojonup) and Liz Marshall (Sorrento).
Fourth place went to Irene Grout (Dudley Park), Kerry Stephens (Leeming), Sally Greig (Wonthella) and Barbara McNeil (North Beach).
