Australian Championship re-born

Expressions of interest for club hosting Bowls Australia has announced the re-commencement of the Australian Championships for 2017.
A past time honoured event it pits the state titleholders (men and women) in singles, pairs, triples and fours against other states and territories, for the right to be crowned the Australian Champion.
The event will be staged between 27th November – 1st December 2017 at a venue to be decided by tender.
Bowls Australia now invites clubs to tender for the hosting of the Championship.
Expressions of interest from clubs may be directed initially to Ken Pride, CEO who will forward the host club requirements. However the following is the basic requirements:

No further than 90 minutes from a major airport,
The provision of lunches for officials and volunteers on the days they are officiating,
The financial contribution the club is willing to make in offsetting the costs of accommodation and travel for participants,
The provision of two greens (8 rinks) for practice and competition.

Tenders must be received by Bowls Australia by COB 20th December 2016.
