Round in Review week 6 After six weeks the pennant ladders are starting to take shape. Every side is now looking for that big win to give them the momentum to charge to the top of the table. Below are some of the wins that may fit that mould.
Men’s Saturday Competition
Joondalup were this week’s biggest winners across the boards. Their 89 shot win in 4th Division is one of the biggest of the season and is unlikely to be caught in a hurry. The club also enjoyed two 5th Division wins that were over 40 shots. Among those wins was the equal best rink win of the week. Verne Jones and his rink playing for Joondalup 1 won 40-3 to have a share in this week’s honours. The other side to rack up a 37 shot margin was Belmont City’s Michael Patmore and his team mates. They were also the week’s highest scoring rink racking up 47 shots to 10 in their win.
In Premier League Wanneroo finally got off the mark in a confidence boosting win. Their 43 shot home win over Stirling was the highest in the division and the Roos will be hoping it is the catalyst for them to climb out of relegation zone. Mark Douthie’s rink had the biggest win in the division with a 17 shot win to help turnaround their form.
In second and third division the depth of Osborne Park Bowling Club was to the fore as both side easily bough up the century score with 58 and 63 shot wins respectively.
