Men’s 1st Blue Pennant
The Division 1 Blue pennant was decided with a final game at 2016/17’s 1st Division finals venue Yokine between Warnbro and Wanneroo on Sunday. Neither side finished on top of their division but were able to win their four team play-offs on Saturday to earn a chance to play for the last 1st Blue pennant.
It was an extremely tight final with both teams swapping leads and the margin very rarely getting out past ten shots. Towards the end of the game Warnbro managed to eek out into a double digit lead. They led by eleven with just a few ends to play and held on to win the flag by seven shots with wins on three rinks.

The final wasn’t quite as close as the semi-finals as Osborne Park finished up premiers with a relatively comfortable 89-63 victory.

Men’s 1st White Pennant
The 1 White pennant was awarded to Morley for finishing on top of the ladder after the home and away season due to promotion play-offs taking the place of pennant finals.
Morley were pushed for the pennant all season by North Beach with the two sides the only teams to hold first place at any point after round three. Morley led for most of the second half of the year but looked to have lost the flag after consecutive losses in rounds 15 and 16. But 15 points in the last two weeks was enough to get back into first place as they won the pennant by four points with a win on the final day.
