Avon Valley win Eastern Zone ILRR Women’s Fours
The Avon Valley claimed the Eastern Zone Women’s Inter League Round Robin hosted by Northam Bowling Club last weekend.
Such was the closeness of the competition Avon Valley were the only team to win three matches in the round robin event which saw the five Eastern Zone leagues play each other. Goldfields, South Eastern and Wheatbelt who finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively all won two of four matches with East Avon winning one game. Avon Valley secured the title with an impressive 35 shot win in the last round of competition.
Nola Forbes (South Eastern) rink was the only team to be undefeated through out the event. She was not surprisingly named to skip in both the Zone and Country representative sides announced after the event.
Congratulations to all participants and event organisers. Well done to those named in the representative sides.
