Eastern Zone triumph in IZRR Pairs
Women’s IZRR Pairs results WA Country Inter Zone Round Robin Pairs were held at Wickepin Bowling Club on 17th and 18th February.
In what was a closely fought contest, between Eastern, Northern and Southern Zones all having won two games each, Eastern came out the victors with four points 10 rink wins and plus 29 shots. Southern, having only just defeating Southwest by one shot, and then defeating Eastern on Sunday morning, (after Eastern had won the first two games), came in second also with 4 points 10 rink wins and -1 shots.
As Southwest took one rink off Northern Zone, this relegated them to third spot with four points 9.5 rink wins and 46 shots up. Southwest came fourth after not being able to win one game.
Wickepin and Southern Zone hosted the event which was very well run.
