Pennington Outlasts the Opposition in Men’s Countryweek

Played Thursday 8th March 2018 With multiple players in two disciplines Men’s Countryweek knockout play continued until after 9.00pm tonight with the big winner being Busselton’s Matthew Pennington. 

Pennington moved through to the final of the singles competition by defeating Mandurah’s James Webster in the semi final late this afternoon. With Pennington’s opponents in the Pairs, Shane Giudice-Nairn and Michael Ford (Geraldton) also in the Fours Semi Finals, Pennington with his partner Jim Paganoni and the Geraldton boys headed out onto the green at 7.00pm with the Busselton pair prevailing to move into the Pairs Final on Friday at Doubleview Bowling Club.
However before any finals can begin a number of semi finals need to be played. First up tomorrow morning will be the remaining singles semi final with brothers Aaron and Justin Smith (York) having a family showdown. The second Semi Final of the Pairs between Joe Criddle, Jeff Eaton (Geraldton) and Matthew France, Ben Parker will take place along side the singles semi final and completing the first up morning schedule will be both fours semi finals.
