Elaine McDonald awarded Life Membership at Eaton

Eaton Bowling and Social Club awarded Elaine McDonald at the club’s AGM recently. Elaine who joined the club in 2000 has held a number of committee positions at the club, won many club and league championships and represented the South West league in Zone events along with a Country Week Pairs and two State Fours title. She represented WA at state level for 32 games.
Off green she has also worked tirelessly for the club helping co-ordinate Corporate Bowls and Run the Club Classic. She also worked diligently as an umpire and coach. She recently attended the Commonwealth Games as an International Technical Official and is an Assistant Coach for the Bowls WA State Women’s team.
Congratulations to Elaine on her wonderful efforts and work within bowls duly being rewarded with life membership at Eaton.

Joined Eaton in 2000
Held Positions of Vice Captain 6 year, Captain 4 years and have been on Match for 18 years.
Won Singles 5 times, (SW League 4) (SW Zone 1)
Won Fours 5 Times
Won Pairs once, along with League and Zone and Country Week Pairs.
Also won League Triples and Veteran Singles.
Winning team of the State Fours twice and Runner-up twice.
Has represented the Club in ILRR, IZRR and Country v Metropolitan.
Been League Captain and President 2 years each.
Has been the Umpires Representative (now Presenter & Assessor) since 2001 for the South West League
Club Classic Coordinator for 14 years.
Have organised the Corporate Bowls for Eaton for the past 12 years.
Since joining I have done volunteer work for the club on the Bar, TAB,
Club Photographer.
ITO for 3 years officiated at the Multi-Nations, Trans Tasman, National Over 60’s side series and Commonwealth Games.
Played State for 3 years and for the past 3 years have been the Assistant Coach/Team Manager of the Ladies State Side.
