Vale – Queen Elizabeth II
This morning Western Australians have woken to the sad news that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has passed away.
The Royal Western Australian Bowling Association (trading as Bowls WA) received Royal Patronage on 14th September 1961 and we will be joining the Royal Family and many Royal Club’s from around the world in the mourning of this great loss.
On behalf of the many bowling clubs throughout Western Australia, many of whom still display a photo of the Queen within their club premises, we extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family as they grieve the loss of the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
We encourage clubs to mark their respects with the flying of the National flag at half-mast. It is customary to fly the flag at half-mast from the time of the announcement of the death of The Sovereign until the day after the funeral, except on the day the accession of the new Sovereign is proclaimed.
