Kerry Andersen becomes BWA’s 42nd Hall of Fame member

Following an application from Mosman Park and a recommendation from the Hall of Fame Committee, the Board has today ratified the induction of Kerry Andersen as Bowls WA’s 42nd member.

Kerry’s record both on and off the green really needs no introduction but apart from that record her quiet, respectful but determined demeanor is how many would describe Kerry over the past 30+ years in the sport.

For those that however are not aware of her contribution, here is a very brief summation:

State Caps 110 (Open), 55 (Over 60s)

Bowler of the Series (Over 60s) – 2017

Club Singles – 13 times (Shackleton & Mosman Park)

State Open Titles – 10 times

State Over 60s titles – 9 times

Bowler of the Year Over 60s – 3 times

Champion of Champion Singles – 2004

Gold Medal Australian Triples 2021/22

Australian Emerging Team vs NZ – 2002/03, 2003/04

Australian Squad – 2002/03

Multiple other national events and teams

President Bowls WA 2016/20

Country Director 2011/16

High Performance Chair 2021 – Current

Multiple roles in Club, League and Zone Administration in the Country

The list goes on and hence the ratifying by the Board was unanimous and appreciative of the commitment Kerry has made to the sport both in the Country, wider WA and Nationally.

Kerry’s induction will take place at the Bowls WA Awards Night on Friday 2nd June at Optus Stadium and we encourage all who have played with and against Kerry to attend the evening and show our appreciation.
