Awards Night gears up with strong nominations
Entries for the 2020/2021 Bowls WA Awards have now closed with judges set a difficult task in selecting this year’s worthy recipients.
A record number of (14) clubs have nominated for the prestigious Metropolitan Club of the Year, with (7) of those also in the running for Metro Small Club of the Year, given they have 125 or less members with playing rights.
The Jim Murray Country Club of the Year will be fought out by Boulder, Tammin and Merredin after each has had a strong year on and off the green with solid representations at various events and a number of infrastructure projects completed.
The important Volunteer of the Year will see four excellent club stalwarts in contention with a further two Club Coach of the Year entries submitted by their home club.
With player awards coming down to the wire with a final two events to be played in May, the evening again promises to be celebration of the 2020/2021 season.
