Employment: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
The opportunity to drive a marketing strategy for a National Sporting Organisation has arrived, with recruitment now commencing for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Bowls Australia is searching for a savvy, innovative marketer to promote and communicate to its existing national membership while also developing tailored messages to a reach and capture a new audience for ‘the sport for life’. A diverse skill set including in depth practical marketing knowledge coupled with the ability to communicate verbally and in the written form will be a hallmark of the successful candidate. The role is unique with a variety of functions to execute, including promotion of participation initiatives, event reporting, website management and production of publications, to name just a few. Exciting new initiatives have been developed to help shape the future of the sport, in Jack Attack, bowls’ version of T/20 cricket, and its junior participation program Jr. Jack Attack, and the new Marketing and Communications role will be integral in promoting these to the masses. With the sport’s most lucrative event, the $225,000 Australian Open securing a home on the Gold Coast for the next five years, and the revolutionary Australian Premier League set to broadcast the sport live into the living room of hundreds of thousands of Fox Sports viewers for a second time in November, opportunities to report on and promote national events are limitless.
