Sorrento save a life

Make sure your club has a defibrallator
On 29 March 2016, Mr Terence Harvey, collapsed at the Sorrento Bowling Club. Luckily the club had a defibrillator.

Two staff members, Mr Chris Lander and Mrs Trish Cunningham, witnessed the collapse and attended to Mr Harvey. They provided CPR and delivered 3 x shocks from the club defibrillator. Mr Harvey had regained his pulse by the time the ambulance crews arrived. He spent the next 19 days in the hospital and is now back playing croquet.

Having a defibrillator close by is extremely important for cardiac arrest victims, as the chance of survival decreases by 10% each minute without the use of a defibrillator.
Special offer – $700 off a defibrillator!

To help get more defibrillators into the community, St John Ambulance is offering WA lawn bowls clubs $700 off a Heartstart defibrillator for the first 15 orders. This amazing deal also includes 2 x adult chest pads and a wall mounting bracket.

As part of this offer, the defibrillator must be linked to the free St John Community First Responder program, which enables St John Ambulance to know where the defibrillator is located in the event of a cardiac arrest emergency.

How do I take up this offer?

To obtain a Heartstart defibrillator for $1700 (RRP $2400), simply be one of the first 15 non-profit lawn bowls clubs in WA to submit this registration form before 29 July 2016. We will contact you to arrange payment and delivery of the defibrillator.
