Round 13 in review After last week’s wild weather we got through another overcast day this Tuesday. Some sides would have been grateful the rain stayed away as they racked up some big wins and some important wins as we get into the business end of the season.
Men’s Saturday Competition
Wanneroo’s 4th Division Gold team had a mammoth 85 shot win over Scarborough to comfortably claim the week’s biggest win. The smallest win by any of their rinks was still 18 shots as they powered their way to an important eight points. The win gives them a 7.5 gap in second place in the division and gives them some extra breathing room.
Two rinks tied for the biggest rink win of the week with exactly the same score line. Both rinks finished with a score of 43-9. Robert Lawrence’s team’s 34 shot win ensured a comfortable victory for Osborne Park’s 2nd Division Gold to maintain their narrow lead at the top of their division. In 4th Division Gold North Beach’s Anton Riegger’s side also ensured a good win which keeps them in touch with the top sides in the colour.
