Bowling Arm Challenge Update
WA’s Bowling Arm Representatives are trying to find their rhythm as the new Side on the block at the National Bowling Arm Challenge in Moama. Game play consists of each State playing the other in Singles and Fours as well as Pairs and Triples – each Side constitutes 15 players in three teams of five.
Day One the Side started with a Bye and went on to win two Pairs games against South Australia and then struggled to find their feet against Victoria, losing the Triples games.
Day Two was the longest day for WA as the only State that did not have a Bye … as a result they played four games finishing only at 10 pm at night under the lights. Starting the day with a roar, WA won all Singles games against South Australia – with Judy Stein from Mundaring winning against the SA State Singles Bowling Arm Champion Phil Sanders from Salisbury BC.

Again struggling against the strength of VIC there was a draw for a Triple game, and then WA continued on to NSW where there was a win and a draw in the Fours section. To end the long day the Side had a win in both the Pairs and Triples against Queensland.
Today is the last day of the competition – we wish our Side all the best for the events conclusion and quiet reflection on growing the participation in this fantastic Challenge!
