Covid advice for clubs
COVID-19 advice to clubs – December 16th 2021
The State Government has announced the 5th February as the date WA will embark on its Safe Transition Plan.
As a result of that announcement, Bowls WA notes the following:
That clubs in addition to general health practices, may choose to require “proof of vaccination” as a condition of entry to the premises, as a further protection to staff and patrons to the club. Individual club circumstances should however be considered along with seeking their own legal advice before adopting such requirements.
In this regard to enable appropriate planning to occur, Bowls WA seeks notification by 15th January if a club is considering this additional option. This advice will also include the processes the club will adopt for enforcement.
- To ensure the safety of members, visitors and staff an updated COVID Safety Plan is required to be formulated and communicated. This Plan will form the basis of the club’s defence against any COVID transmission.
Bowls WA will continue to monitor Government health advice in the lead up to and post 5th February, with updates forwarded to clubs as required.
