All Abilities State Championships – Entries Extended
UPDATE: The 2022 All Abilities State Championships are still open for Entries for bowlers who have a:
- Hearing Impairment
- Intellectual Disability
- Physical Disability
- Vision Impairment
Entry closing date has been moved from tomorrow (Friday 25 March) to next Wednesday 30 March at close of business. Spread the word about this great event! It is very rare to see our inclusive players competing at the same time side-by-side! Additionally, we have changed this three day event back to two days – so it will run over Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 of April.
There are two major changes for the 2022 event – first, the event will run over THREE DAYS from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th April at Kardinya Bowling Club. The extension of an extra day is to allow for the continued growth of this event and make game play fair for everyone with limited rinks to play on. The cost is still $20 for the event which includes both Singles and Pairs. Lunches of “Sandwiches + Soft Drink” will be available for order each day, prior to play, for $7.00.
The second major change is that this is the first year there will be prize money! In Singles there will be prizes for Winner, Runner Up, and Equal Third in each category of Deaf, Intellectual, Physical, and Vision Impaired. In Pairs, there will be prizes for Winner and Runner Up in the categories of Deaf, Physical, and Combination (Vision and Intellectual).
The decision of play format, sectional with knockout versus round-robin, will be decided after entries close on Friday 25 March.
Entries are preferred in the online format (instructions below); however, entries can also be completed in paper format – the form is attached below. There is an event flyer attached in the event readers may want to print and post event information at clubs, or pass along hard copies to anyone who has an interest in attending.
