With the extreme weather forecast for this week, it is quite likely that the new heat rules for the Metropolitan Pennant Competitions may come into effect. This is a timely reminder to all umpires and officials to acquaint themselves with the new rules, and a reminder to players to support our officials in implementing the new rules.

There are key rules that kick in when the temperature reaches 38 degrees, and then again when the temperature reaches 40 degrees. All the details of these rules can be found in the Bowls WA Handbook.

For the Mens Competitions, refer to Page 40 of the handbook

For the Womens Competitions, refer to Page 46 of the handbook.

A reminder to all to look after yourself and each other in the heat and take precautions to ensure you remain hydrated and safe in the hot conditions.
